A scale Resin printed, high detail model.
NOTE, this is not a working item. This is a scale model for model enthusiasts.
Ratchet straps come in many different sizes, there is no standard size.
The ratchet mechanism can be between 133mm in length to 325mm. Converted to 1/32 scale these equate to 4mm and 10mm. We have modelled our ratchet mechanism at 1/32 scale to 7mm which is well within the range of a 1/32 scale ratchet. All other scales have been scaled up to suit.
We have not modelled for 1/18 scale but would suggest for a large ratchet select 1/16 and for a small ratchet select 1/24.
Consisting of:
- 4 x Mechanism
- 8 x End Hooks
- 2 x Strips of Styrene (thin white plastic straps): 1/32 - approx 170mm each, 1/24 & 1/16 - approx 350mm each
All models are supplied unpainted in grey or black resin and are removed from sprue/supports before shipping. Most models will require construction for which a good quality Super Glue will be required. Note that some models contain very fragile parts. If instructions are deemed necessary they will be included in the listing's images. Please ensure that you are happy with the model content as shown in the images before purchase.

About Resin
Ordinary plastic modelling glue is not suitable for resin. The best glue to use is a quality Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate), Gorilla Glue (Micro Precise) or Resin Epoxy Glue.
Resin cures in UV light, continual exposure to UV light will the resin more brittle, Due the nature of curing resin, some smaller parts will be more brittle and some of the larger parts slightly softer (hardly noticeable). There is also the slight possibility of fine layer lines showing, but these are hard to see with the naked eye.
This model is made of resin and therefore not suitable for young children or animals.
