note to ebay: this is a very small model, less than 5 cm long, and therefore NOT a replica firearm or prop firearm. This is an accessory for modellers who build scale models.

British WW2 Fuel Cans (Flimsies)
At the start of the Second World War the British Army was using two and four gallon pressed tin containers for fuel. These were colloquially known as flimsies due to their habit of bursting open in use- indeed in the Western Desert up to 25% of fuel was lost due to the poor quality of the petrol tins. The British flimsy, officially known as the Petrol, Oil and Water can, was a World War II fuel container used by the British Army. It held 2 or 4 imperial gallons of fuel and was known for its fragility, often leaking during transport. The flimsy was replaced by the jerrycan, which was more robust and designed to withstand the rigors of war. Despite its flaws, the flimsy was a practical solution for moving fuel during the North African Campaign and other battles.

About Resin
Ordinary plastic modelling glue is not suitable for resin. The best glue to use is a quality Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate), Gorilla Glue (Micro Precise) or Resin Epoxy Glue.
Resin cures in UV light, continual exposure to UV light will the resin more brittle, Due the nature of curing resin, some smaller parts will be more brittle and some of the larger parts slightly softer (hardly noticeable). There is also the slight possibility of fine layer lines showing, but these are hard to see with the naked eye.
This model is made of resin and therefore not suitable for young children or animals.
Resin is dangerous if ingested
